Please contact your personal case manager or <a href=\"https:\/\/famiris.brussels\/en\/contact\/\">call us on our general number<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"heading\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contact the Mediation service of Iriscare<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p><strong>The sixth state reform<\/strong> transferred the responsibility for family benefits to the communities. <strong>Child benefit is managed by the four different entities<\/strong>: Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels and the German-speaking Community.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p>Each entity has developed a system tailored to the specific needs of its residents.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p><strong>In the Brussels-Capital Region, the bi-communal public interest organisation Iriscare is responsible for the development and management of the new child benefit system in Brussels.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Within Iriscare, the Mediation service<\/strong>&nbsp;can help you in the following<strong>&nbsp;situations<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You would like general information or specific information about your file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You don&#8217;t understand information you received from your child benefit fund.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You don&#8217;t understand or don&#8217;t agree with a decision made by your child benefit fund.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p>You can send this type of questions by&nbsp;<strong>mail&nbsp;<\/strong>to<strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:mediation@iriscare.brussels\">mediation@iriscare.brussels<\/a>,<\/strong>&nbsp;or by&nbsp;<strong>post<\/strong>&nbsp;to Iriscare, Service M\u00e9diation, rue Belliard 71 bte 2, 1040 Brussels.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p>If you <strong>disagree with a decision<\/strong> made by your child benefit fund or if you feel that <strong>the service provided <\/strong>by your child benefit fund <strong>was inadequate<\/strong>, you can send a complaint either by email to <strong>mail&nbsp;<\/strong>\u00e0&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"mailto:plaintes@iriscare.brussels\">plaintes@iriscare.brussels<\/a>,<\/strong>&nbsp;or by <strong>post<\/strong> to <strong>Iriscare, Service Plaintes, rue Belliard 71 bte 2, 1040 Brussels<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p>Iriscare will <strong>analyse your complaint<\/strong> and, after examining your child benefit file, may, on the basis of the applicable legislation, either <strong>provide you with information<\/strong>, confirming the decision taken by your child benefit fund, or <strong>order a re-examination<\/strong> of the disputed decision.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p><strong>You may also, in the event of a disagreement with a decision that has been communicated to you, and after having contacted our services, refer the matter to Ombuds Brussels<\/strong> (<em>an independent mediation body between citizens and public administrations<\/em>).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p>Contact details for Ombuds Brussels:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Online: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ombuds.brussels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.ombuds.brussels<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Email: <a href=\"mailto:plaintes@ombuds.brussels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">plaintes@ombuds.brussels<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Phone: +32 2 549 67 00<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By post or by appointment: Ombuds Brussels, Place de la Vieille Halle aux Bl\u00e9s 1, 1000 Brussels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p>Please note that filing a complaint with Ombuds Brussels does not suspend the deadlines for lodging an appeal with the Labour Court.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p><strong>You can lodge an appeal with the Brussels labour court at any given time,<\/strong> even if you have already filed a complaint.
