Until the month in which a child with a disability or condition turns 21, you can receive a supplement on child benefits. <\/strong>This supplement is in addition to the basic child benefits<\/a> and can be combined with other supplements (e.g., social supplement<\/a>).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Income replacement and integration allowance<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n

From the age of 18, a young person with a recognized condition or disability may also be entitled to an income replacement and\/or an integration allowance <\/a>from the Federal Public Service (FPS) Social Security<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

A young person receiving such an allowance may still be entitled to the basic child benefit<\/a>. However, you cannot receive both increased child benefit and an income replacement allowance and\/or an integration allowance at the same time. In that case, you must make a choice.
