{"id":1204,"date":"2023-08-25T16:26:03","date_gmt":"2023-08-25T14:26:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/famiris.previewstage.net\/i-am-registered-as-a-jobseeker-with-actiris-what-about-child-benefits\/"},"modified":"2023-11-14T14:37:59","modified_gmt":"2023-11-14T13:37:59","slug":"i-am-registered-as-a-jobseeker-with-actiris-what-about-child-benefits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/famiris.brussels\/en\/news\/i-am-registered-as-a-jobseeker-with-actiris-what-about-child-benefits\/","title":{"rendered":"Young jobseeker: what about child benefits?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"paragraph\"><div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p> <figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/famiris.brussels\/cache\/800\/800\/files\/2021\/07\/AdobeStock_202107-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>      <\/p><p>In order to continue receiving child benefits after the age of 18 (and up to the age of 25), the young person must either be a student or a jobseeker and therefore be registered with Actiris.<\/p>   <p>When the young person finishes his or her studies, a registration as a jobseeker must be done as soon as possible so that we can continue  paying child benefits.<\/p>   <p>A grant period of 360 days will indeed start on 1 August if the young person is registered as a jobseeker on that date. If not , i.e. if the young person registers after 1 August, the period in which child benefits are granted starts from the actual date of registration and ends 360 days after the date of compulsory registration. Unfortunately, the young person will lose the right to child benefits for the period during which he or she was not registered.<\/p>   <p><em>For example: Tom registers as a jobseeker with Actiris on 10 September 2021, and the period in which child benefits are granted will begin on 1 August 2021 and end on 31 July 2022. Tom therefore lost two months of child benefits, i.e. August and September 2021<strong>*<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>   <p><strong>*<\/strong>\u00a0<em>We always activate the right the month after the event.<\/em>.<\/p>   <p>During the period in which child benefits are granted, the young person retains the child benefits, provided that he or she does not work more than 240 hours per quarter and does not receive an integration benefit.<\/p>   <p><strong>More info on the young jobseeker?
