The annual age supplement will soon be paid

Good news for Brussels families: on Monday 3 August, Famiris will pay the annual age supplement together with the July child benefit. This benefit is still often known as the school allowance.

The amount you receive in August will be higher than usual. In addition to your monthly child benefit, you will also receive an annual supplement.

You don’t need to do anything. The payment is made automatically.

Every child who was entitled to Brussels child benefit in July receives this additional amount. The exact amount depends on the child’s age.

Young children who are not yet attending school are entitled to it as well.

This annual supplement is paid automatically to families receiving Brussels child benefit. It is added to the regular child benefit payment made in August.
