My child receives an income replacement and/or integration allowance. Do I still get child benefits?

From the age of 18, a young person with a recognized condition or disability may also be entitled to an income replacement allowance and/or an integration allowance from the Federal Public Service (FPS) Social Security.

A young person receiving such an allowance can still be entitled to the basic child benefits. However, you cannot receive both increased child benefits and an income replacement allowance / integration allowance at the same time. In this case, you must choose between them.

If you opt for an income replacement allowance / integration allowance, you will no longer receive the supplement to the child benefits. What is most advantageous depends on your specific situation.
